There are lot and lots of advertisements which stats about the open-to-the-public car auctions. There are many websites where you can find a title stating by a car for a little as $100, you don’t need to pay even 20% of the real value. This is not really true these are the business tricks.
These websites oversell themselves just to save a lot of money: Once I was a member of four sites relating to auction. Up to my knowledge the marketing hypes just give false impression and expectation among the people outside the industry. If you go for Google and if you search for the information or review about such auction, you can find many ads which states click here to save 90% of your money. Believe me I have tried it many times and ended with false results. But I would like to say that it is not fully false there are chances where you can save money on purchase of these cars. But it is not more as they state in their ads. There was a add which stated bid on the auction and you can drive home a beautiful 2005 Audi TT for $500, Can you imagine taking a 2005 Audi for just $500, if you think practically it is impossible. So let us see something which is real, you should understand both the advantages and disadvantages of these adds and should be in a better position to decide on what you want to purchase. The first major fact is there is no such a lot of a public auction held; so that you can go on at any time you need a car and take a car you wish in a short time. The public auctions are held once in a week or month or even once in six months time. Justify the cost it takes time. It is purely you luck if you get the car in the auction within few days from you have decided to buy. The second aspect would be pricing. There may be lots of people bidding the same car which you want. Even it may be bided by the car dealers. The latest car may be worth of $20,000 if you are close to the bid then you may get it for $10,000, $14,000 or a $15,000 car for 7,000 or 9,000. Don’t even dream to get a real nice car for jus $500. Can you purchase a car for just $500? Yes you do have the option, but it won’t be the latest model. But these cars often good buy too. May be you are travelling long for an auction, you may find the place but there may be auctions held right next door. So there are facilities like internet where you can find an auction of your choice and which suits you’re convenient. Even though there are certain draw backs you can save a lot of money during the auction sales. You should be in a position to spend some time in gathering information and ready to pay a bit high than the hype implies. |
