Government auctions are the best place to buy cars.  Normally the cars put up for auction would be in good condition and the government takes the responsibility of its quality and condition.

In these government auction of repossessed vehicles, the cars that are put up for public auctioning are considered to be second hand cars.  This is the reason why cars are sold at cheaper rates than the regular ones.  Here the government is expected to give away the repossessed cars at cheap price rather than getting maximum financial benefits out of it.

When everyone try to overtake others’ bids, the result would be that the price of the concerned car goes up to  a whopping level. So here,  be prepared to buy a second hand at high prices also.

Get the opinion of an expert in the field.  He might work on the details that you are unaware of .  These details should be essentially considered  while buying a used car. An experienced person would be able to look at things from all angles and fix on a deal that is best for you.  He would be of help again when it comes to fixing the price of a particular car and during the test drive.

Check the car thoroughly.  Any minor faults or damage that could be overlooked by you, would be found out by an expert/mechanic.  This allows you to bring down the price down during auction.

While bidding, start with a low amount.  If the same is  already doing rounds, raise a little more to the highest bid.  You need to add only smaller amounts to the maximum bid.  Be careful not to go beyond a certain limit and always be  within the budget.

Once the price of the car in question goes up incredibly in the process,  it  is suggested that you should quit, rather than running into unnecessary problems. There would be many other cars to choose from and you could get a better deal there.  Always look for cheap and the best options.  If you have successfully made a deal with the car of your choice,  go for the rest of the procedures like payment methods, handing over etc.  and  complete  the  formalities.
