Are you in search of car? Are you Budget conscious?  If yes, then this article is for you. If your financial position does not support you for buying a new car or a good quality second hand car, then I suggest you to go to the auction field of damaged car.  This is applicable for persons who challenge to make diamonds from waste.

In the present market, damaged cars are most likely be the lowest priced cars.  If you go for a new car which was driven only once on the road after purchasing it, it loses only a little value almost a quarter less than its original value.  But this is not the case with the damaged cars.  It is coming to auction after running on the road many years, and may be after it met with an unfortunate accident which nobody wishes to take.  You should consider these aspects while you opt for a damaged vehicle auction.

You should inspect the restorable value of the prospective damaged cars.  It is a known factor that nobody will purchase a damaged vehicle without any intention.  Either he may re-use it after repairing or he will use it to learn the mechanical know-how and the techniques adopted in building a car.  People have different intentions for buying a car. It is easy that one get foolish himself in purchasing a damaged vehicle.  Damaged vehicle auctions are participated by different kinds of people with different purposes.  Whatever be the intention or purpose, the sales of damaged car is popular among the public.

When you attend a damaged vehicle auction what should you know?  It can be very much compared with the regular ones. While you attend a damaged vehicle auction, please keep in mind the following things:

a.    Just justify your intention.  Why you want a damaged vehicle?  It is a question of purpose. If you go for a regular auction, you can find a much better car at good bargains.  But in this you don’t get quality cars.  But if your intention is to repair it and use for long, then inspect it thoroughly before purchasing it.

b.    Get a list of these cars and calculate the costs.  Then choose the particular model you are looking for.  A small research work is required here and gets all available information of that model with the present market prices.  Make a good calculation, study well, fix up the prices and also see for other prices which go with similar conditions. For instance, if the hood or tail lights are damaged, you can fix up a cost for that and reduce that from the cost fixed.

c.    Just compare the prices with the new car and the cost incurred to you in purchasing a damaged vehicle and bringing it back to the usable condition.  If you find it is better to get a good quality vehicle, even though second hand, and is worthwhile, then go for it than in purchasing a damaged vehicle.   In this case, please inspect the car very well and know everything about it, because in damaged cars certain parts are hard to find as damaged.  It looks like normal ones. They cannot be repaired simply.  A full overhauling is required.  Avoid such cars. Be careful!

d.    Get into the venue a little bit in advance and search all the vehicles kept there.  Scrutinize it very well.  Make sure that how the damage happened.  If it is flood-damaged be careful.  If it was damaged in flood, then it can have repercussions on a later period.  This is due to the fact that if flood damaged, certain parts damages cannot be seen and is a permanent defect. It would give problem in later date.

e.    Collect all the papers relating to the car.  If you are  purchasing a damaged vehicle, then you should have all the related papers with you.  It will be helpful for you in future if you need to have to resell or for any other purposes.

Damaged cars give a negative thought and bad impression.  But it all depends on individuals. You should see them in respect of their potentiality.
